Our Roots: Decades of Craft and Commitment
The Visionary: Sol Ventless
In 1984, the visionary known as Sol Ventless (the "Dope Dealer") brought his passion for the plant to Humboldt, quickly earning recognition for strains like Grape and Juicy Fruit. Driven to innovate, he developed one of the earliest hash screening trim trays, focused on producing pure "000 gold dust." Despite the challenges of the "War on Some Drugs," Sol's commitment to the plant never wavered. In the 2000s, he worked tirelessly with organizations like CHAMP and Act Up, dedicating a decade to policy work. He helped draft legislation like MRSA and Reform California, consistently fighting against Prop 64 and advocating for small farms, ethical business, and the medical model. His eventual return to Humboldt, guided by an interest in environmental stewardship, culminated in the creation of FullyMelted®—a brand focused on the cleanest, most responsible, lowest impact, solvent-free concentrates available.
The Master of Trichomes: Saul Van Tless
In a later era, Saul Van Tless (the "Wook") rose to mastery, encountering fewer obstacles in developing his craft. Starting in the Washington medical market, Saul honed his expertise in maximizing trichome development, pioneering live harvest techniques. His dedication earned him 1st Place awards as early as 2013. After his Wook Sauce brand struggled with the complexity of CA licensing, he brought his reverence and artistry to the heart of modern cannabis—Humboldt County.
The Kan Agra Brotherhood
Here in Humboldt, amidst the ancient redwoods, the brothers of Kan Agra contribute over 50 years of combined home growing experience. They have adapted the Wook's strains and techniques to provide the top quality Full Sun and Greenhouse flower that is the foundation of the FullyMelted® menu.
